There are still spots available in BYU’s fall 2022 Washington Seminar program if you can secure an internship in DC. Washington Seminar allows BYU students the opportunity to spend a semester working in Washington D.C. in government, private, or non-profit organizations. Participants have access to affordable BYU housing, career networking, and briefings from knowledgeable Washington insiders. College and program funding available.
1 – Broadband Breakfast Media is seeking intern applicants for Fall 2022. Broadband is a fun internship with a really deep skill development, including authoring articles and developing awareness on technology and policy development. Interested students should send a cover letter, resume, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and two 800 word writing samples on any topic. Email to Drew Clark, drew@breakfast.media.
2 – TargetPoint Consulting seeks intern applicants for Fall 2022. TargetPoint is a very popular opportunity where you will work with Washington Seminar alumni in a full service public opinion market research firm. Students for fall will be able to participate in the upcoming election cycle, it’s an exciting time to be with TargetPoint. 3- National Center on Sexual Exploitation One of our most popular internships, open to all majors and offering a range of internship opportunities. NCOSE embraces a mission to defend human dignity and to advocate for the universal right of sexual justice, which is freedom from sexual exploitation, objectification, and violence. To this end, NCOSE operates on the cutting edge of policy activism to combat corporate and government policies that foster exploitation, to advance public education and empowerment, and to foster united action through leading the international Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation. 4 – By Women for Women offers a unique internship experience with networking and mentorship. Founded by a BYU alum, this internship allows students to develop strong writing skills, teamwork, and helping to increase the stories of Latter-day Saint women. By Women, For Women is a non-profit organization on a mission to amplify Latter-day Saint women’s voices, stories and impact. We are fostering a network and community of support amongst Latter-day Saint women in Europe so they can connect and navigate faith within their various cultures, communities and families. Each of these internship openings will qualify for internship credit, as well as low cost housing in the DC area, 6-12 credit hours, and grant funding ranging between $400 - $2600+ for the semester. All opportunities are open to all majors.
