The Utah Governor’s Office of Energy Development (OED) is proud to support workforce development through paid internships that provide career development and industry knowledge opportunities.
The Communications Intern will support the Governor’s Office of Energy Development (OED) through the following tasks:
- Organize image/video library
- Visual content creation (photo, video, graphics, etc.)
- Draft press releases, website posts, and other written materials
- Help maintain OED’s social media presence including monitoring, posting, and reporting
- Website design and upkeep
- Attendance at partner events
- Quarterly newsletter and email blasts
- Other duties as assigned
This internship provides opportunities to:
- Gain government and communications experience
- Increase understanding of nuances and complexities of energy landscape
- Network with industry and policy leaders
- Learn about civil service and policy
The Communications Internship position will report to the Communications Manager. This position will work 20 hours per week and will be paid up to $12 per hour for a term not to exceed 3 months. Telework options are available, but not exclusively.
