The College of Humanities Communications team is looking for a writer and editor to create and edit professional-quality media on behalf of the dean’s office and other College departments. Individuals on our team participate in all aspects of the strategy, planning, and development of College messaging.

Y Magazine interns get published, work in a professional environment, and learn what it takes to produce a quality magazine from start to finish.

This position is for a part-time student editorial assistant at the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will work with the editorial supervisor, assistant dean, and communications and external relations team to communicate the college’s programs, events, research, student spotlights, faculty highlights, successes, and more to internal and external audiences.

The College of Life Sciences student science writer interviews, writes, edits, and promotes stories on an array of compelling topics from tracking cougars to fighting malnutrition in developing countries. With eight academic units, the College of Life Sciences provides a large pool of interesting, diverse content. Science writers may specialize in their specific area of training. If you love to uncover intriguing facts or share engaging stories and want to develop a strong writing portfolio, we would love to work with you.

The purpose of this assistant role is to serve alongside one of BYUtv’s Marketing Managers to assist and collaborate on the marketing efforts for assigned shows.
