Looking to hire college students who are studying public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. This is a non-benefited internship position working under the direction of the Public Information Officer. This position is designed to provide interns with experiential learning opportunities to develop professional-level skills in communications, public relations, marketing, and communications strategy in a local government setting. The internship can last up to 1 year. Interns will be part of the city communication team and help promote the city and educate/inform citizens on key city issues. Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled as a junior or senior in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor of Arts/Science program with an emphasis in public relations, communications, marketing, or closely related field. Experience in social media, graphic design, video production/editing, website management, content creation, and/or copywriting is preferred, but not required. Must have valid drivers license and have a good driving record. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background investigation.
Salary & Benefits: $20.00 per hour.
Schedule: Internship will be for a period of 1 year, working between 20-28 hours per week.
