Internships at the Crandall Printing Museum (Alpine, UT)

Crandall Printing Museum logo

The Crandall Printing Museum is in need of your assistance! We are making some changes this year and have a few projects that could use your help. Come join us this summer and/or fall as an intern!

Projects:

  • Research: Tour scripts are in need of fact checking and rewrites. Tours include Gutenberg, Ben Franklin, and Book of Mormon/Deseret News
  • Workshop Prep: We are starting up Book Arts workshops: printing, papermaking, bookbinding, calligraphy. Materials and handouts need to be prepared for these, as well as advertising and setup.
  • Cataloging Type Drawers: We have an ongoing project to create a catalog of all of our type drawers (fonts) and print blocks. This involves setting type and printing it to be organized in a binder.
  • Exhibit Updates: Towards the end of summer/beginning of fall, we will be shifting exhibits from one room/floor to another. This is giving up the opportunity to update the exhibits in content and layout.
  • Social Media:

To apply, email Victoria Birth at victoria@thecrandall.org to express your interest.
