The Crandall Printing Museum is in need of your assistance! We are making some changes this year and have a few projects that could use your help. Come join us this summer and/or fall as an intern!
Projects:
- Research: Tour scripts are in need of fact checking and rewrites. Tours include Gutenberg, Ben Franklin, and Book of Mormon/Deseret News
- Workshop Prep: We are starting up Book Arts workshops: printing, papermaking, bookbinding, calligraphy. Materials and handouts need to be prepared for these, as well as advertising and setup.
- Cataloging Type Drawers: We have an ongoing project to create a catalog of all of our type drawers (fonts) and print blocks. This involves setting type and printing it to be organized in a binder.
- Exhibit Updates: Towards the end of summer/beginning of fall, we will be shifting exhibits from one room/floor to another. This is giving up the opportunity to update the exhibits in content and layout.
