Internship at Writers House Literary Agency (Remote, stipend)

Since the year 2000, the Writers House Intern Program (WHIP) has been a training ground for aspiring professionals. In that time, we’ve placed nearly four hundred WHIP graduates at their first jobs in publishing. The overarching goal of this remote program is to provide its participants an education in the publishing industry from the perspective of a literary agency.

INTERNSHIP DATES: FEBRUARY 14, 2022 – JUNE 3, 2022

REQUIREMENTS:

  • interest in publishing as a career a plus;
  • interest in genres Writers House represents a plus;
  • familiarity with authors Writers House represents a plus.

LOCATION: Remote

PAYMENT: $200 monthly stipend

Y Magazine—BYU’s quarterly publication for alumni, students, and friends of the university—offers paid editorial internships for students who are creative, teachable, hard working, dependable, and committed to working as entry-level journalists. Interns at Y Magazine get published, work in a professional atmosphere, and get experience in writing, editing, research, web publishing, social media, and some of the backend, business aspects of putting out a magazine. Student Writing/Editing Jobs with College of Humanities (Internship Credit Available)

The College of Humanities Digital Media and Communications Office is now hiring for two student writer/editor positions. Both positions are paid, qualify for internship credit (talk to the internship coordinator), and give students real-world publishing, writing, and editing experience helping to create the Humanities Alumni magazine and produce digital content.
