By Common Consent Press is a non-profit publisher dedicated ot producing affordable, high-quality books that help define and shape the Latter-day Saint experience. We're looking for a publishing intern interested in experiencing the independent publishing process from start to finish—from the time a manuscript is submitted, all the way through to marketing efforts.

Gain Experience:

  • Evaluating queries
  • Giving editorial feedback
  • Proofreading typeset manuscripts
  • Creating ISBNs and working with Amazon KDP
  • Creating and designing social media marketing materials
  • Communicating with authors.

Y Magazine—BYU’s quarterly publication for alumni, students, and friends of the university—offers paid editorial internships for students who are creative, teachable, hard working, dependable, and committed to working as entry-level journalists. Interns at Y Magazine get published, work in a professional atmosphere, and get experience in writing, editing, research, web publishing, social media, and some of the backend, business aspects of putting out a magazine. It’s a varied and fun opportunity.

Friend Print Editorial Internship (Summer and Fall 2024)

APPLY BY MARCH 13. The Church magazines offer editing, writing, and design internships three times a year. We are currently hiring for positions during May–August (spring/summer) and September–December (fall). The internship is 40 hours a week for the four-month period. Medical benefits are offered. Position is located at the Church Office Building but may be from home, depending on arrangements made with hiring staff at time of hire.
