Communication Internship - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Full-time, Paid)

As a communication intern, you’ll apply expert writing skills as you assist the communication manager in sharing the inspiring story of one of the most unique and fastest-growing organizations in the Church. As a member of a professional communication department, you will get to collaborate with our messaging, digital marketing, and graphic design teams. You will gain meaningful experience applicable to the communication field and create quality content for your portfolio.

You’ll play a crucial role in helping BYU-Pathway Worldwide clearly and effectively communicate its offerings and mission to a diverse audience of more than 70,000 students from 180 countries. You will generate copy for a variety of communications, including student spotlights, news articles, websites, marketing emails, and help resources; conduct interviews; maintain an editorial calendar; and carry out other administrative tasks, as needed.

This is a paid remote internship, based out of the Triad Center in Salt Lake City, UT. Candidates must live in Utah or Idaho.

Position Start Date: September 16, 2024
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Approximate Hours/Week: 40

  • Pay close attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Earning/earned a degree in communication or English (preferred)
  • Microsoft and online office applications (Google Docs/Drive)
  • Brightspot and/or another web content management tool

Community Projects Paid Intern (Localization Project Manager)

The FamilySearch Global Community Team is made up of missionaries, volunteers, and employees assigned to work with various FamilySearch community segments, tools, and projects crossing multiple languages and divisions. One of the Global Community Team’s assignments is to expand the reach of English content to a broader multilingual audience. Under the direction of the Global Community Team, the Community Projects Intern coordinates many community projects, oversees the work of volunteers and the development and management of the program to make it successful.
