Domo’s Education team is looking for a positive, high-efficiency Technical Writer. This individual will work with multiple teams to pull expertise from subject-matter experts into client-facing material, helping customers self-serve. The Technical Writer will document highly technical content and as such will need to develop strong understanding of the Domo product.

Position Summary

Domo’s Education team is looking for a positive, high-efficiency Technical Writer. This individual will work with multiple teams to pull expertise from subject-matter experts into client-facing material, helping customers self-serve. The Technical Writer will document highly technical content and as such will need to develop strong understanding of the Domo product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, write, and edit technical product content into quality documentation;
  • Create content for e-learning assets such as videos, documentation, and training modules;
  • Work collaboratively across the Education team to assist others in designing and creating content;
  • Manage time to meet deadlines and produce quality deliverables;
  • Edit and redesign existing documentation using industry best practices and creative approaches.

Job Requirements

  • Must have or be seeking a degree in a software, technical field and/or English, technical writing or other communication field—both writing and technical skill sets are required;
  • Must be a clear and concise writer with exceptional editing skills;
  • Must be able to learn complex software systems;
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and articulate;
  • Must be analytical and a self-motivated problem-solver;
  • Experience consolidating and editing complex technical documents for clarity and concision;
  • Experience with image editing software such as Snagit, Illustrator, etc.;
  • Domo platform experience is a plus.

The Utah Office of Energy Development (OED) is seeking an Energy Pathways Intern to join the State Energy Program (SEP) team. The intern will help advance energy initiatives throughout the state of Utah via education, collaboration, research, and outreach. OED’s mission is to advance Utah's energy and mineral economy to ensure affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy for Utahns by supporting the Governor’s vision of energy in the state. The ideal candidate has strong skills in writing, research, and collaboration as well as a desire to effect positive change on the energy landscape in the state. Interns will report to the State Energy Program Manager. This position will work 20 hours per week and will be paid $15 per hour for a term not to exceed 4 months. Hybrid telework options are available.
