For more than 50 years, Horrocks Engineers has been an integral part of designing and improving infrastructure for communities in the western United States. We are looking for a part-time intern to help create training courses and materials.
Expectations / Duties:
The Learning and Development Intern will
- Perform research at the supervisor's request
- Support the production, delivery, and distribution of training courses
- Write copy for company intranet posts about upcoming training opportunities
- Document, update and publish supplemental materials that accompany training programs
- Maintain the learning management system and other learning technologies as assigned
- Assist with delivering and maintaining a formal company mentoring program
- Prepare written reports as assigned
- Assist in the preparation of recorded training videos, including script development, recording, editing, and distributing
- Assist in the creation and/or acquisition of training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials
- Assist with maintenance records of training and development activities, including attendance
- Performs other related duties as required
Skills / Competencies:
- Strong communication skills, highly organized and extremely detail-oriented
- Effective technical writer
- Ability to interact with our employees with friendliness, tact, and diplomacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
- Willingness to learn new technology to support learning and development projects and processes
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with team members
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Prior experience with Camtasia is a plus, but not required
Education and Experience:
- Prior related office experience preferred
