Utah Film Center is seeking a creative and organized individual who is eager to learn about the marketing strategy and workflows around promoting a year-round film organization and annual film festival. You will gain a hands-on introduction to the basics of marketing workflows, content creation, communications and social media channel management, and internal operations.
The ideal intern will be passionate about connecting with audiences, visual storytelling, and exposing the community to new ideas through film. Must have experience with social media, graphic design software, and content creation.
May 2, 2022 through August 31, 2022
20-25 hours per week, mostly flexible
$12/hour
Over the course of this internship, roles and responsibilities may include:
- Creating graphics, copy, and creative assets for social media, web, and printed collateral
- Maintaining a content calendar and publishing schedule
- Managing external communication channels with consistent social media posting, weekly e-newsletters and special event emails
- Cataloging and organizing digital assets
- Measuring effectiveness across content channels (pageviews, CTR, engagement metrics, etc) to identify areas of improvement
This position reports to the Director of Marketing and will be evaluated on collaborative attitude, time and project management, quality of work, and creative problem solving. Additionally, this position will also be evaluated on the success in meeting goals and objectives developed at the beginning of the internship period. Attendance at weekly marketing meetings are required.
The organization’s engagement, support, and supervision will be hands-on. We are a small non-profit organization so communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills, and goal setting are absolutely essential to our success. The intern will be fully integrated into our open office environment and will be treated equal to all other staff members as part of our dynamic team.
