  • Writing product copy for websites and application
  • Researching and producing effective case-studies for current clients
  • Script educational and promotional videos
  • Outreach for PR, content distribution
  • Showcasing and highlighting the voice of our current clients

We feel writing is the core of effective marketing. If you love to write, this will be a great internship opportunity for you.

The Fit

Here are some skills and qualifications we are looking for:

  • Professional writing  - Whether you’ve written marketing emails, blogs, press releases, ad copy, or social media posts, we’d like to see some of your writing.
  • Computer Skills - We are a tech company and we use a lot of tech ourselves. You’ll need to navigate various software applications, including email marketing tools, website CMS, and word processing tools.
  • E-Commerce - Our core customers are e-commerce businesses. Experience in this industry will help you succeed.
  • Social Media or Ads - You will have the opportunity to help build our social media and ad strategy.
  • SEO - You will need an understanding of how to write in a way that is optimized for search engines.
  • Marketing Research  - Research is an important aspect of marketing. We want you to have some experience with learning the needs and behaviors of target customers.
  • Tutorial/Video Creation- This creative skill would be effective to bring to the team as we expand this resource for our current clients.

Here are the characteristics of the people that would be a good fit.

  • Contributor & Communicator - Equal contribution and communication are at the core of effective teamwork. We expect all team members to contribute, even interns.
  • Agile - We are a start-up, which means we wear a lot of hats. There will be days that you are deep in a project and need to pivot to something else.
  • Consistent - We want consistent effort from all our team members, including interns. We don't expect perfection, but we do expect effort.
  • Confident - Yes, you're an intern but your thoughts and opinions are just as valid as a CEO's or VP's. We want you to be confident in your ideas and skills.
  • Curious - We want you to learn. After all, it's an internship. The right candidate is constantly wanting to learn and experience more.
  • Driven - We aren't going to micromanage you. There will be days when your manager is working out of a different office location than you, but we expect you to put in the same level of effort.
  • Love writing - Did we mention this is a writing role? Good. You'll be doing a lot of it.

Here are the characteristics of someone that would not be the best fit:

  • Unsure or Easily Bored - We aren't going to babysit this role. If you aren't a self-starter, this may not be for you.
  • Never Your Fault - Everyone makes mistakes and we expect you to make them too. However, if you aren't the type of person to own your mistakes and learn from them, this may not be for you.
  • Hate Puppies (or People) - We actually don't care if you are a dog person or cat person or neither. But we do want you to like people, generally speaking. We are a team of imperfect people trying to work together for a common goal. If you find yourself constantly annoyed and complaining about co-workers, this may not be for you.

The Internship

You might have questions regarding the actual internship.

  • We are willing to help document your efforts and provide whatever feedback is needed in order to get credit.
  • We are willing to work with your class schedule but we do expect consistent attendance and effort in order to keep your internship with us.
  • Yes, this is a paid internship. Compensation will be discussed as we move through the hiring process.
  • This internship can absolutely lead towards a paid position as you finish school and a full-time position with benefits when you graduate. Frankly, our goal is to find long-term team members that can grow with us.
