Internship Dates: 4/19/21-8/15/21Each summer the Utah Lake Commission Public Outreach team takes on a Outreach and Events intern to assist the Outreach Coordinator with events and public outreach. This is a paid position ($10/hour) at 25-35 hours a week. Start time is typically mid April.The following are some of the potential duties of this position:Management of social media accounts for Utah LakeAssist with blog posts, a monthly newsletter, and other written publicationsOversee and grow the Utah Lake “Adopt-a-Shoreline” programCoordinate with volunteers for various projects around the lakeAssist with planning Utah Lake Commission events (Utah Lake Scavenger Hunt, etc.)Assist with general office duties*PREFERRED: College student working towards a degree in Recreation Management, Communications, Marketing, Events or something similar.

The Public Policy and Communications Intern will be an integral part of YWCA Utah’s Policy Team and will support advocacy efforts during the 2024 Utah Legislative General Session. Apply by Oct. 31. The Utah Governor's Office is now accepting applications for the Spring 2024 Fellowship Program. Our program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain experience in public service and leadership. Our fellows work directly with senior advisors and cabinet members on a wide variety of initiatives. Importantly, they are given direct exposure to our legislative efforts in the spring, from initial policy drafting in January to bill review in April.
