The Family History Department is seeking a world-class intern to communicate with our staff from around the world. The ideal candidate would be seeking a bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, or a related field and be enthusiastic about learning, as we are committed to being a learning organization. They would bring with them a fresh perspective and passion for engaging employees and ensuring their workplace experience is excellent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Throughout the course of this internship, the intern would:
- Maintain and build up the department intranet
- Write intranet articles and drive Yammer engagement
- Assist with creating personas and segments for targeted messaging
- Build and send email to global workforce
- Help produce and deliver daily video communication to the workforce
- Provide fresh perspective and identify emerging communication trends
QUALIFICATIONS
This internship would include working on a team responsible for employee engagement, and requires skill at both working well in a group setting as well as independently. The department abides by its quality standards of inspiration, trust, kindness, effectiveness, and simplicity, and employees are encouraged to use those as they find innovative solutions to complex problems.
By the end of the internship, the candidate would be able to:
- Plan and execute a communication campaign and strategy
- Utilize a variety of communication platforms, technology, and channels
- Feel comfortable with Microsoft Dynamics, Adobe Photoshop and Premier
- Build and foster business relationships
- Oversee the lifecycle of a communication project
- Maximize impact based on channel and segment
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
