Flexible work hours, an opportunity to earn internship credit, and a creative environment are only a few of the benefits offered to the CPMS marketing team members. Members of the marketing team also have a unique opportunity to build a portfolio and gain valuable experience in a professional environment, all while helping the college reach its goals.

The marketing team is made up of students from a number of differing majors including marketing, communications (advertising, news media, public relations), visual arts (graphic design, illustration, photography, film), computing (computer science, information systems, information technology), business management, and editing minors. As our employees learn new skills in their classes, they are able to apply those skills in a vibrant, student-oriented setting where each member’s contribution is valued.

About Us

The BYU College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences hires website/app developers, graphic designers, videographers, photographers, sound engineers, creative directors, art directors, copywriters, reporters, editors, and project managers as members of our student marketing team. The marketing team develops strategies and concepts to promote the college and its seven departments as well as science and mathematics in general. Writers will have an opportunity to produce Frontiers, an alumni magazine, twice a year in addition to their regular writing responsibilities. Throughout the year, writers will also create articles about events and research projects within the college for the CPMS website. While an ability to understand and synthesize in-depth information is important, students for this position do not need to have an extensive background in science or math.
