Internships

The FamilySearch Global Community Team is made up of missionaries, volunteers, and employees assigned to work with various FamilySearch community segments, tools, and projects crossing multiple languages and divisions. One of the Global Community Team’s assignments is to expand the reach of English content to a broader multilingual audience. Under the direction of the Global Community Team, the Community Projects Intern coordinates many community projects, oversees the work of volunteers and the development and management of the program to make it successful.

Every year, the Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage involves over a hundred interns in our various activities. We offer internships year-round in various fields, including folklore, cultural anthropology, ethnomusicology, linguistics, museum studies, arts administration, graphic and web design, videography, marketing, social media, and library science. Internships can take place remotely or in Washington, D.C. APPLY BY MARCH 1.

The BYU English Department has a longstanding tradition in excellence in the field of Creative Writing. NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) paid internships allow high school and college-level students to contribute to the agency’s mission to advance science, technology, aeronautics, and space exploration. OSTEM internships offer students an opportunity to gain practical work experience while working side-by-side with mentors who are research scientists, engineers, and individuals from many other professions. Internships may be full time or part time on a NASA center or facility.

The Community Outreach Internship provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the internal organization and operations of the Mayor’s Office. This job is designed to provide students with paid professional experience to further their education and training and is academically oriented for the student’s benefit. To qualify students must be enrolled in an accredited school program related to the type of work they are expected to perform. Positions will terminate upon completion of the internship period. Incumbents may deal with confidential information, which is expected to be maintained as confidential and shared only on a need-to-know basis with city employees and elsewhere when authorized by the intern’s designated city supervisor.

The internship will begin May 2025. This position involves gathering data and analyzing it to improve the performance and policies of the Municipal Council with regards to Provo City and its citizens.
