Barker Leavitt, an up and coming political consulting and public policy consulting firm. Students can visit their webpage at BARKER LEAVITT. Internship will assist staff with research projects, organizational tasks, and some clerical work. Additionally, they will assist with clients and meetings with Congressional offices and Executive branch agencies. Interns will attend meetings, create reports and memos related to various hearings. Students will experience lobbying Congress and the Executive Branch agencies. Students with a background or passion for public policy should apply. Salt Lake City’s Department of Community and Neighborhoods (CAN) is implementing two housing plans: Housing SLC, our five-year moderate-income housing plan; and Thriving in Place, our anti-displacement plan. CAN is seeking an intern that is interested in local government’s role in housing to further the commitments made in those two housing plans. This position will help research, develop, and implement strategies and actions to further the City’s commitments made in the two housing plans.
