Springville Museum of Art Fall Internships (Apply by Nov. 10)

Each semester, Springville Museum of Art hires interns to work on projects in education, collection management, visitor studies, and operations. Interns gain first-hand experience in the archival/museum/art world while working at a historic Utah art museum.

Collections Management

  • Help maintain and update collection database
  • Organize key records related to the Museum's Permanent Collection and donor history 
  • Exhibition research, planning, and installation
  • Consolidate and organize records of the Museum's history
  • Maintain and update the Museum's Research Library on Utah artists

Education

  • Plan, implement, and assist with events and public programs
  • Develop and write curriculum and accessibility materials 
  • Create and prepare media resources, including photography and video

Visitor Studies

  • Collect, code, and analyze data about Museum programs and visitors
  • Help develop and implement evaluation tools for Museum programs and exhibitions 

Operations

  • Assist in researching and preparing grant applications and other fundraising tasks
  • Assist with Museum marketing initiatives and tasks
  • Perform data entry and database management to keep records for donors and other constituents of the museum up to date.
  • May help plan and execute fundraising and membership events and programs.

Requirements

Internship applicants must be able to commit to at least one semester (12 weeks) of service and serve a minimum of eight hours per week in their area of specialty. Prior to the start of internships, all accepted interns will be required to attend a general orientation meeting and obtain a background check.

Utah Symphony | Utah Opera’s Development summer intern is responsible for assisting the Development Department with its administrative, presentational, promotional, and onsite operational aspects of the Deer Valley® Music Festival.
