Internship at Writers House Literary Agency (Remote, stipend)

Since the year 2000, the Writers House Intern Program (WHIP) has been a training ground for aspiring professionals. In that time, we’ve placed nearly four hundred WHIP graduates at their first jobs in publishing. The overarching goal of this remote program is to provide its participants an education in the publishing industry from the perspective of a literary agency.

INTERNSHIP DATES: FEBRUARY 14, 2022 – JUNE 3, 2022

REQUIREMENTS:

  • interest in publishing as a career a plus;
  • interest in genres Writers House represents a plus;
  • familiarity with authors Writers House represents a plus.

LOCATION: Remote

PAYMENT: $200 monthly stipend

Sent out to some 230,000 alumni households, Y Magazine is BYU’s flagship print publication. Along with work in journalism and editing, Y Magazine interns also gain experience with social media, web publishing, basic magazine business, and many other facets of putting out a highly polished, award-winning publication each quarter.
