The Ballard Center for Social Impact is looking for students to fill the following positions (see the links for job descriptions and contact info):

  • Events Associate
  • Public Relations Specialist: Provide social media support for the Ballard Center in the Tanner Building. Update website content, write weekly newsletters/emails to subscribers, write Ballard Center articles, assist with Annual Report, and run Ballard Story competition. Collaborate in writing press releases, act as PR liaison with External Relations, participate in brief class presentations, and help maintain a consistent branding for the center. Please keep in mind that approximately 10% of your time will be spent on Ballard Center general assignments such as trainings, Ballard Center staff meetings, distributing program quality surveys, marketing TEDxBYU, etc.
  • Content Editor & Copy Editor: Ballard Brief is a social issue reference database run and published by the Ballard Center for Social Impact at BYU. Our goal is to offer world-class resources that dissect specific social issues in the world today through the lens of social impact! Ballard Briefs are accurate, consumable, succinct, and engaging to our audience of everyday changemakers hoping to learn more about these issues. Check out our briefs at ballardbrief.org! We are currently seeking students from any major who are passionate about social issues to work as editors and writers for us. 
  • Student Advisor
  • Marketing Specialist: The Ballard Center exists to teach people how to solve social problems. We are looking for an experienced and creative Marketing Specialist to help us develop and share the new Do Good. Better. competition in the BYU communities. Please keep in mind that approximately 10% of your time will be spent on Ballard Center general assignments such as attending trainings, Ballard Center staff meetings, distributing program quality surveys, marketing TEDxBYU, etc.

Marketing Specialist Internship

This Internship will run 12 weeks over the summer and support functions within our Marketing department. This is a Part-Time role estimated at an average of 20 hours per week. The Marketing Specialist Intern will support projects such as video content creation, public relations and production of marketing materials across social media, publications, websites and other outlets.

Social Media Content Marketing Internship

We are looking for a creative and passionate Social Media Content Marketing Intern to join our team at Rhyz, a subsidiary of Nu Skin, supporting one of our innovative brands, LifeDNA. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a fast-growing genetic testing brand. In this role, you will help manage and create content for LifeDNA’s social media platforms, engage with influencers, and track campaign performance. You will work closely with the founders, Rhyz Incubator Brand Managers, and LifeDNA brand ambassadors to drive engagement and brand awareness.
