The Salt Lake County Internship Program is a great opportunity for current and recent undergraduate, graduate, and post- graduate students to gain valuable hands-on work experience, satisfy educational goals, and develop networking opportunities in their area of study. SALARY: $15.00/Hr.

LOCATION: Intern may work remotely or from the Salt Lake County Government Complex. They will be provided a computer and an email account. Intern may be asked to attend meetings off-site, at other government facilities, or in the community.
START DATE: The internship begins May 16, 2022, ending August 3, 2022.

Utah’s Disability Law Center is seeking a qualified, self-starter to initiate a grassroots project aimed at improving the accessibility of Utah’s primary election and caucus systems. The chosen applicant will recruit, energize, and educate voters to prepare them to participate in their local caucus meetings or vote in-person during the presidential primary election. Volunteers will evaluate the accessibility of the site and the voting process, then report their observations. Qualitative and quantitative data will be compiled then a report produced.

The Public Policy and Communications Intern will be an integral part of YWCA Utah’s Policy Team and will support advocacy efforts during the 2024 Utah Legislative General Session. The position will run from January through April 2024. The Public Policy and Communications Intern will have the opportunity to effect meaningful policy change, gain experience in nonprofit policy advocacy, and make valuable connections among community and state leaders.

HEAL Utah Legislative Internship (Stipend)

The Legislative Intern works closely with the Community Engagement Manager and HEAL Utah staff to promote renewable energy and protect Utah from dirty air and toxic waste. Most of the Legislative Interns’ responsibilities will include work at the Utah State Capitol during the legislative session and outreach and research. In the spring of 2023, we expect this to mix in-person and virtual.
