The Seminaries and Institutes Online Learning Support Intern primarily works with the Learning Management System (LMS) Content Manager to provide user support for the LMS Canvas, manage, assemble, and quality check S&I online curriculum in many languages, and complete other work as assigned.
This position will perform all duties described in this posting AND be assigned to curriculum assembly and content management. Must be available during normal business hours (8am - 5pm), with an occasional Saturday required.
This position is hybrid and will require occasional monthly on-site attendance. This paid internship is anticipated to last one year (12 months). This position is a part-time (20 hours per week) hourly, nonexempt position. The candidate must be currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from (within the last 12 months), an undergraduate- or graduate-degree program. Preference will be given to education, instructional design, technical writing, copy editing, and computer science students (or related field).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support rollout of S&I online course curriculum and help with course maintenance.
- Assist S&I users and troubleshoot issues with Canvas course content and usage.
- Consult, develop, and maintain internal and user-facing resources.
- Manage and track multiple projects simultaneously while paying attention to the details of the projects.
- Meet important deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. Language skills are a plus, but not necessary. A willingness to be taught and a desire to develop new knowledge relating to online support is crucial.
- Must live in Utah and be authorized to work in the U.S.A.
- Experience using Canvas or other LMS is preferred, but not required.

- Work in harmony with other people and be diplomatic in communication.
