The Correlation Library is experiencing unprecedented growth and change and needs assistance. This library offers a unique experience with responsibilities separate from the Church History and Family History libraries. Its primary aim is to deliver timely and reliable information to the Correlation Department as they work with their partners to help grow the Kingdom of God.
Responsibilities:
To assist the Correlation Librarian in …
- Responding to information requests either through library collection searches or creating annotated bibliographies
- Receiving, processing, cataloging, barcoding, and organizing the library collection
- Digitizing library holdings
- Managing field equipment
- Archiving
- Other library responsibilities as needed
Skill Requirements:
- Comfortable with technology (using computers, tablets, recording devices, and Microsoft Office Suite programs)
- Data entry (education in or experience with cataloging is not required, but a bonus)
- A knack for organization and tagging beyond basic data entry and standard cataloging practices
- Ability to research and respond to information requests clearly, succinctly, and quickly whether orally or in writing; for example, face-to-face information queries, quick responses via email or texts, or more detailed responses via annotated bibliographies
- Comfortable working in teams as well as alone in a quiet setting
Additional information:
- This job is an onsite job; however, it has potential to allow for some remote work should certain criteria be met
- Part-time work (20 hours a week)
- Job would last up to 12 months
