Online Learning Paid Internship

The Online Learning Division Intern primarily works with the LMS Manager to support the services of the Online Learning Division within Seminary and Institute (S&I) for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and provide user support for the Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Intern is expected to:

  • Support rollout of S&I online course curriculum and help with course maintenance.
  • Assist S&I users and troubleshoot issues with Canvas course content and usage.
  • Consult, develop and maintain internal and user-facing resources.
  • Manage and track multiple projects simultaneously while paying attention to the details of the projects. 
  • Meet important deadlines.
  • Work up to 19 hours per week between the hours of 7 am and 9 pm, with an occasional Saturday required. This position can last up to a year.

QUALIFICATIONS

Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. Language skills are a plus, but not necessary. A willingness to be taught and a desire to develop new knowledge relating to online support is crucial.

  • Must live in Utah and be authorized to work in the U.S.A.
  • Experience using Canvas or other LMS is preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Be dependable, hardworking, and trustworthy.
  • Able to take feedback well and have a willingness to improve. 
  • Work in harmony with other people and be diplomatic in communication.
  • Seeking an educational experience to further your preparations for future employment opportunities. 

They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
