This internship offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a professional team while building skills in editorial processes, literacy pedagogy, and curriculum development. This internship is ideal for candidates seeking to deepen their understanding of academic design while contributing to meaningful literacy initiatives.
This is a 10-week summer internship from June 8th – August 21st and is a remote internship. Candidates need to currently be pursuing a degree within the United States.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the reprint process for print and digital literacy components.
- Perform copyediting and proofreading of literacy content to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Support review of digital practice activities.
- Create and maintain bookmaps to organize and track content.
- Contribute to content accessibility initiatives.
- Assist with curriculum analysis and editing.
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of higher education, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar and syntax.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining academic integrity.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools and platforms.
- Interest in literacy education and curriculum development.
