The Legal Intern at Jacobsen Construction will support and work closely with the legal team in various aspects of construction law. This internship offers hands-on experience in contract review, legal research, regulatory compliance, and litigation support within the construction industry. The role provides an opportunity for law students (or potential law students) to apply their legal education in a practical setting and develop essential skills for a career in construction law.
Your Day to Day
- Assist in reviewing construction agreements, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Identify legal risks and provide recommendations for contract modifications.
- Conduct research on construction law topics.
- Support the legal team in construction-related litigation matters.
- Assist in document review, preparation of discovery materials, and case analysis.
- Provide administrative assistance to the legal team.
- Assist with compiling corporate documents that will be distributed company wide.
- Attend meetings and training sessions, as necessary.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
