We are seeking a full-time Legal Intern to join our Aptive team! This position is located at our office in Provo, Utah. The individual we are looking for is someone who enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.
Pay is $18/hr and the hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm MST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching licensing and permitting requirements for hundreds of municipalities in the United States
- Managing the permitting process and providing direction to sales managers on the applicable business and individual permitting and licensing requirements for municipalities in assigned areas
- Filing licensing and permitting applications online, and preparing documentation and applications for sales representatives in assigned areas in-person with each government agency
- Coordinating with local governments on requirements and applications submitted for processing
- Assisting team leaders, operations managers and other compliance employees in the United States with information needed for local business licensing requirements
- Conducting audits and monitoring compliance of sales representatives in assigned areas
- Working with in-house legal teams of US companies to assist in the resolution of potential legal issues, or other projects as required
