Communication Internship - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Full-time)

Join the communications team at BYU-Pathway Worldwide and help share the inspiring story of one of the fastest-growing and most impactful organizations in the Church. As a paid communications intern, you’ll apply strong writing and editing skills to support a variety of messaging efforts that reach more than 80,000 students in 180 countries.

Working under the direction of the communications manager, you’ll collaborate with professionals across writing, messaging, graphic design, project management, and digital marketing teams. You’ll gain meaningful, real-world experience in the communications field — and produce quality portfolio pieces that showcase your writing and editing skills.

This is a paid remote internship, based out of the Triad Center in Salt Lake City, UT. Candidates must live in Utah or Idaho.

Position Start Date: October 13, 2025
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Approximate Hours/Week: 40

  • (Preferred) Writing sample or 1–2 online portfolio pieces that demonstrate academic or professional writing for mediums such as blogs, websites, marketing emails, and news releases.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content for a variety of platforms, including blog feature and news articles, video scripts and captions, websites, emails, print materials, and help resources
  • Conduct interviews with students, employees, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain an editorial calendar
  • Support administrative and organizational tasks, as needed
  • Participate in all steps of the writing process
  • Follow directions and meet fast-paced deadlines
  • Plan, organize, and use time management
  • Pay close attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Earning/earned a degree in communications or English (preferred)
  • Google online applications (Google Docs/Drive) and Microsoft Suite
  • Brightspot and/or another web content management tool
