Numetric is a roadway safety software company that helps transportation agencies (like UDOT) improve roadway safety, and eliminate roadway fatalities through crash data analysis.
Numetric designs and deploys our software-as-a-service platform to make roadway safety easy for state and local transportation agencies. Our system assists safety engineers, transportation planning teams, and law enforcement agencies in identifying and prioritizing roadways for safety improvement. As the preferred safety software solutions provider for the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO), we partner with various state and local transportation agencies across the United States to make our roadways safer.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Collaborate with the customer success and Education team to document key agency workflows and processes
- Document software release notes and communications for customers
- Update and manage a document library consisting of over 150 help articles
- Manage the structure and organization of a help article library to optimize ease-of-use
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in technical writing, communications, or a related discipline
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Talent with language and organization, ability to write very clearly in a manner that is professional and grammatically correct
- Technical writing skills
- Ability to generate graphics to communicate concepts such as use cases, system composition, block diagrams, sequence diagrams, and others using PowerPoint, LucidChart, or other tools.
- Can capture and communicate complex technical concepts for both technical and general audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with educational or instructional writing
- Interest and familiarity with computer hardware or software
- Enthusiasm and passion for technology
Location
- Remote (Office in Draper, Utah, but the position will not require in-office attendance)
Schedule
- No set schedule - expected between 10-20 hours per week
- Availability to meet virtually during the day 2-3 times per week for 30 minutes
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
