
The Philanthropies Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is responsible to correlate, encourage, and facilitate voluntary philanthropic contributions—beyond tithes and offerings—to organizations and activities affiliated with the Church, including Brigham Young University.
Working with a Marketing and Communications creative team, under the direction of the team manager, the student writer will research stories, interview subjects, and write copy for newsletters, solicitation letters, event materials, etc. Student writer will write articles to be published at give.byu.edu. Candidates should have an understanding of the creative process, be comfortable having their writing edited, and work well as a member of a deadline-driven team. Organization and time-management skills are essential for success. Experience working with editors and designers is a definite plus. Students seeking a degree in journalism, public relations, or English will be given preference.
Other duties as assigned.
