The Social Media Specialist position assists in the management of BYU Law’s social media platforms, as well as other marketing communications initiatives at the Law School.

Starting Wage
$14–$16 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Hours
15–20 hours per week. Hours are flexible to accommodate class schedules.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing organic social media strategy
- Establishing a content calendar/schedule
- Creating and posting original content
- Engaging with and growing following
- Implementing latest social media strategies and trends
- Optimizing profiles
Qualifications
Applicants should have prior experience in social media management and marketing communications. Communications, Marketing, or English major preferred. Additional qualifications include:
- Social media savvy. Very experienced with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Excellent writing skills. Professional level copywriting and copyediting skills are crucial.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, innovative, organized, ultra-attentive to detail, creative, able to take initiative.
- A plus: Experience with paid social, Instagram Reels, TikTok, graphic design, photography, videography.
