SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Job Description:

We are seeking a social media and community marketing intern who can help us tell the Pluralsight story through our social media channels and engage with our  community. The person in this role will work with our social media and community team to create and publish engaging stories that support larger marketing efforts. 

This is a summer internship running from May-August. You are currently pursuing a degree in order to be considered for this internship.

What you’ll own:

  • Assist in optimizing, editing and publishing social media posts
  • Help brainstorm ideas for social media and community strategies 
  • Help conduct research into, and experiment with, emerging social and community channels to make recommendations for the team
  • Help maintain a multi-channel editorial content calendar
  • Assist with community management by monitoring online conversations
  • Support with organizing community-driven initiatives, such as Office Hours, livestreams and learner events
  • Help with the research and outreach stages of our influencer marketing efforts

Experience you’ll need:

  • You have a couple creative side projects on your resume
  • You have some experience with Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • You are acquainted with video creation for social media including tik tok and instagram stories
  • You have done some moderation for, or are active in, an online community
  • You’re pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Junior/Senior status) or a recent graduate in English, Communication, Marketing or writing-related field
  • You’ve managed the social media accounts of a brand, organization or someone else who isn’t you (optional but highly regarded)

CONTENT MARKETING INTERN

We’re seeking a content marketing intern who can help us tell the Pluralsight story through multiple channels—from blogs, podcasts, videos, whitepapers, webinars and beyond. The person in this role will work with our Content Marketing team to support the creation and publication of engaging stories that support larger marketing efforts.

This is a summer internship running from May–August. You are currently pursuing a degree in order to be considered for this internship.

  • A collaborator who enjoys brainstorming
  • Someone who understands the importance of powerful branding and what good design looks like

What you’ll do:

  • Help brainstorm ideas for blog, video and podcast content
  • Become acquainted with the ideation, creation and production of content in other channels, such as whitepapers, infographics, and webinars, and help with supporting tasks where appropriate. 
  • Help maintain a multi-channel editorial content calendar
  • Help with the research and outreach stages of content creation
  • Assist with scheduling content production 
  • Assist in optimizing, editing and publishing blog posts
  • Stretch goal: Own the end-to-end management and launch of a video project, with support and mentorship from our team!

Experience you’ll need:

  • You have a couple creative side projects on your resume
  • You have some experience with Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • You’re acquainted with and have experience working with a style guide (AP, Chicago, MLA, etc. )
  • You’re pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Junior/Senior status) or a recent graduate in English, Communication, Marketing or writing-related field
  • Bonus (but not essential): You’ve managed the blog of a brand, organization or someone else who isn’t you; or helped stand up a podcast or YouTube channel
