I interned with Techbuzz, an online news paper that specializes in writing articles about the technology sector in Utah and "silicon slopes." I was assigned articles to write and helped organize interviews and turn them in to articles. I also conducted interviews with supervision and wrote my own series. I also helped create a company directory, compiling basic information about every company we wrote about into an easy to access form.
I enjoyed working well with my supervisors. I work hard and I was rewarded because my supervisors realized how hard I work and really appreciated it. I loved seeing my hard work pay off in the form of published articles. I learned that my hard working attitude can be rare in a work environment, and is really valued. I also learned that the subject doesn't matter, as long as I am writing stories and sharing other people's points of view, I enjoy writing. I want to write just like this internship for my career. This internship changed the direction of what I want to do with my life after college.
