I had the amazing opportunity to intern at the Utah House of Representatives with two legislators: Representative Brammer (District 27) and Representative Hawkins (District 57). I was their sole staff and was tasked with making sure that they arrived at meetings on time and had the correct information heading into those meetings. One of my favorite memories was when Representative Hawkins asked me to write an Opinion Editorial that would be published in The Daily Herald. I was able to employ my English skills to be able to figure out how best to draft this opinion editorial. We then sat down together and worked on editing and figuring out the best way to convey the message that Representative Hawkins wished to express. I learned how to employ my English skills into a professional and legal environment.
