"The Washington Seminar formulated my character so that when I returned to Provo, I had the tools to keep widening my world."
My mission to Seoul, South Korea opened my awareness to life beyond the borders of my small-town childhood. Moving from Korea to Provo felt like my world was shrinking. But when I learned about the Washington Seminar, I saw an opportunity to break those borders down and find my voice as a citizen of our country. I helped host the Prime Minister of Lebanon, assisted in researching and drafting bills, and even learned how to make coffee! It wasn't always easy, and was almost never comfortable, but the Washington Seminar formulated my character so that when I returned to Provo, I had the tools to keep widening my world.
