Articles by recent Broadband Breakfast Reporters and Editors:
We're looking for an intern who's both passionate and curious about trending news, and is willing to write about everything from Zac Efron to the latest health trends to Utah true crime (and everything in between). As an intern, you'll write short briefs, articles, roundups, evergreen/seasonal articles and link-off pieces about trending and cultural news. Monitoring social media, major news outlets, digital news websites and aggregation platforms is a requirement of the position. The goal is for your articles to get as many views as possible by identifying the right audience and story topic.
The Deseret News is hiring a newsletter intern to work in tandem with the Newsletter Editor to help coordinate and send our portfolio of 15+ newsletters. As the closest digital product to a daily newspaper, newsletters are an editorial project that helps readers find the important news they need to know. This role combines the news judgement of journalism with the pragmatism of audience and marketing work. The person in this role will report to the Newsletter Editor and work closely with that individual on a day-to-day basis.
