The goal of the Social Media Intern is to support the Marketing Team by creating engaging content and assisting with the management of Kiln’s social media channels. The intern will work closely with the Content Marketing Manager to develop and execute social media strategies that increase brand awareness and drive engagement across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Monitor and engage with Kiln’s online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help manage and grow Kiln’s social media profiles by identifying and leveraging current trends.
  • Ideate, create, post, and manage short-form videos for social media.
  • Ideate, create, post, and manage graphics for social media using Canva (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate experience a plus).
  • Support the development and execution of social media campaigns to promote events, announcements, and community initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to plan and execute content for social media that aligns with Kiln’s brand and marketing objectives.
  • Conduct regular social media audits to ensure content is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and trends.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing Kiln’s social media presence.

Experience and Requirements

  • Must be tapped into trends on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Must be comfortable and confident being on camera for short form videos.
  • Can effectively record short form social media videos on an iPhone 15 Pro.
  • Passion for social media and familiarity with major social media platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and ability to interpret data.
  • Experience creating content for social media, including graphics, photos, and videos.
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva is a plus.
  • Must possess an on-camera persona.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and member-focused.
  • Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.
  • Understanding and alignment with Kiln’s mission and values.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to Salt Lake City, Park City, Lehi, and Provo as needed.
