Publishing Internship with Future House Publishing

Future House smaller.png

Are you passionate about the world of publishing and sci-fi and fantasy books? Future House Publishing is looking for driven and detail-oriented interns who are interested in learning about the publishing industry and gaining experience in the field.

Future House Publishing interns will get hands-on experience with all the parts of the publishing industry, including acquisitions, editing, layout, marketing, and distribution.

Depending on the intern’s skills and interests, an intern may learn about the common methods of marketing and distribution; how to evaluate a manuscript’s potential; how to work with authors to edit books, stay on schedule, and prepare for a book release; how to connect and communicate with fans of the science fiction and fantasy genres; and will learn time management and communication skills while completing projects in teams and working with other individuals both in-house and outside the publisher.

Internship hours are flexible to account for school and work schedules, but interns should expect to work fifteen hours a week for Future House projects. The internship can be done completely remotely. Priority will be given to applicants with copy editing, InDesign, Mailerlite, email marketing, or WordPress experience.

This is an unpaid internship.

Apply through BYU's Handshake HERE (you must have a Handshake profile).
