  • Post media literacy content on our community spaces as needed.

Position-specific skills include:

  • Concise written communication skills.
  • Experience and comfort with creating social media content, including videos.
  • Good judgment of what news stories are relevant to MWEG’s mission and audience.
  • Ability to recognize reputable sources of information.
  • Familiarity with and willingness to learn more about media literacy topics.
  • Willingness to collaborate with others and to ask for help.

This position will require a minimum of 4-6 hours per week [if you are seeking internship credit, you will need to work 9-10 hrs/week]. Most hours are flexible, but there will be a scheduled check-in with the director of media literacy via Basecamp every week. The intern will be responsible for tracking and submitting their hours on a weekly basis.
