Job Description 

To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully.

  • Conduct preliminary project evaluation meetings with internal stakeholders 
  • Represent the Organizational Communications team with internal stakeholders and advise them in the creation of their communications plans. 
  • Organize, schedule, and manage project plans and resources for stakeholder communications projects. 
  • Develops and nurtures strong collaborative working relationships. 
  • Report ongoing status of projects. 
  • Assist with the design and fulfillment of communications and creative services deliverables, when applicable. 
  • Work in-office when requested; otherwise, may work hybrid or in-office (Sandy). Due to some fulfillment or other hands-on tasks, remote candidates will not be considered. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience 

  • Two or more years working successfully with customers and professionals 
  • Operational experience, preferably in a credit union (or similar financial institution). 
  • Proven track record of managing projects, including schedules, requirements, and execution 

Education 

Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Online Marketing, or Business and currently enrolled.

Looking to hire college students who are studying public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. This is a non-benefited internship position working under the direction of the Public Information Officer. This position is designed to provide interns with experiential learning opportunities to develop professional-level skills in communications, public relations, marketing, and communications strategy in a local government setting. The internship can last up to 1 year. Interns will be part of the city communication team and help promote the city and educate/inform citizens on key city issues.
