As a Mental Health Advocacy Intern at Psycophi, you will have the unique opportunity to take charge of our social media advocacy campaign, titled "A Year of Mental Health: 2024." This internship is designed to empower you with the skills and experience needed to create meaningful content for a mental health company, engage in mental health advocacy, and gain a deep understanding of social media marketing.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create and design 365 social media posts for a worldwide audience to educate and empower individuals in all things mental health
  • Craft engaging written captions and posts that resonate with our audience.
  • Utilize Canva to design appealing and eye-catching posts.
  • Oversee and lead our advocacy department, ensuring the campaign's success.
  • Collaborate with our team to strategize and execute the campaign effectively.

Desired Skills:

  • Creativity and a passion for mental health and advocacy.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Prior experience with Canva is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible hours to accommodate your schedule.
  • Expected commitment of 3-5 hours per week. (ENGLISH INTERNSHIP NOTE: To receive internship credit for this experience, you'll need to work a minimum of 126 hours on internship.)

United Way’s EveryDay Strong project is on a mission to empower parents and other caring adults to know how to build resilience in children. We’ve already reached over twenty thousand families in Utah and we’re still spreading. As the Mental Health Social Media Intern, you’ll help us remix featured content for our Facebook and Instagram channels to reach more families and teach them how to help their kids feel safe, connected, and confident.
