The Orem Public Library is currently hiring for internships working with the Programming and Outreach team. This is a temporary, non-benefited position responsible for planning, organizing, hosting, and publicizing library events with an emphasis on teen programming. Interns will work under the direction of a Library Division Manager, Librarian, or Associate Librarian. Provides assistance in program preparation, set up, and hosting. Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Passionate about promoting library events and programs to the public. Ability to host events with audiences of all sizes. Proven ability to manage details and organize time and resources to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be able to lift and move tables, chairs, and other equipment used for programs. Driven to provide superior customer service to staff and patrons. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background investigation.

Pay and Benefits

$11.22 to $24.48 Hourly.

Schedule

8-12 hours per week. The schedule is flexible to accommodate a variety of scheduled programs. Daytime and evening hours will be required, along with Saturday shifts. This internship can last for up to two years.
