Are you detailed oriented? If so, this job may be for you! Join our Human Resource Workforce Relations and Compliance team as an intern and get invaluable HR core experience with legal compliance matters including FMLA.

Location: Church Office Building, SLC, UT - Hybrid office/remote work available

Compensation: $20/hr

Hours: 40 hours/week for 12 months

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support HR Workforce Relations and Compliance processes including I9s and FMLA
  • Maintenance of legal databases and other files
  • Reviewing legal documents for compliance; preparing reports; researching legal issue
  • Provides day-to-day support on a wide variety of matters for the Director Workforce Relations and Compliance Services, the Compliance Manager, and the Compliance Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program, or a recent graduate (within previous 12 months)
  • Demonstrated computer skills with significant experience in spreadsheet, database, presentation, word processing, and e-mail software products
  • Excellent writing, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Work well in a team environment and promote the standards and teachings of the Church in the work setting;
  • Ability to analyze and document complex legal situations and effectively explain them to others;
  • Demonstrated initiative to complete projects and stay on task;
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and experience in research;
  • Experience in a legal setting helpful but not required, training will be provided.
  • Must be able to quickly learn complex processes.
