Summer Internship Program

New York City & Nashville
June-August

Throughout our 10-week paid summer internship program, you'll engage with industry leaders and participate in dynamic training, career development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. This program spans from early June to mid-August. Interns will work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, at our New York City or Nashville headquarters. Internships in New York City support HarperCollins Publishers, while those in Nashville support HarperCollins Christian Publishing and HarperCollins Focus.

Spring Internship Opportunities

United States, onsite and remote
February-April

In addition to our formal summer internship program, we offer a paid 10-week spring internship that provides hands-on experience and insight into a specific area of publishing that interests you. This internship does not involve formal programming and requires a commitment of 21 hours per week over the course of 3 or 4 days, with a schedule tailored to both your availability and the hiring manager’s requirements. Locations vary by role.

  • 2026 Spring and Summer Application Deadline: October 10, 2025, at 11:59PM ET

Internship Application Process:

  • Visit our job listing page for a list of available internships
  • Review the job descriptions to learn about each internship and ensure that you meet the requirements; responsibilities, qualifications, and application instructions are listed in each job description
  • Complete the online application for the internship that interests you; applications and internships are role specific. You may apply for up to two internship roles each calendar year
  • Attach your resume and cover letter to each application; IMPORTANT: candidates who do not submit a cover letter will not be considered

You will develop and execute communication and marketing plans for patrons worldwide to discover, gather, connect, and unite their families. This intern will be responsible for assisting in marketing and project management tasks, including writing presentations and project proposals, tracking results, and working independently as well as a team on other projects and tasks. The ideal candidate should be creative, solution-oriented, data-driven and have excellent communication skills. The length of the internship will be one year.
