CLOSED Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator Internship

Early Learning Essentials is looking for interns and volunteers who are innovative, self-starters, outgoing, great with people, dependable, and sensitive to the needs of families and children.

Internships are unpaid and interns are welcome to work anywhere from 10-20 hours per week. This is a great opportunity for those looking to get hands-on experience working with the community and for anyone interested in going into the
Communications, Event Planning, Marketing, or Social Work field.

Intern Duties Description

  • Be a member of the marketing team and assist with analyzing our social media platforms
    and creating applicable content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with other interns, staff, volunteers, and
    community partners.
  • Look for possible grants and donations within the community. Assist in the application
    process as needed including grant writing.
  • Think of creative ways to have volunteers assist in our program.
  • Advertise, recruit, onboard, and assist in managing volunteers.
  • Help look for, plan, and run volunteer group activities and other related events.
  • Brainstorm and enact ways to improve donor and volunteer engagement.
  • Assist with creating community newsletters and applicable content as needed.
  • Assist with other various activities and duties as deemed appropriate by the Community
    Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator.
