The award-winning marketing, communications, and technology team at the BYU Marriott School of Business is looking for students with excellent writing skills to join its staff. Positions are open for Spring/Summer term and Fall semester.

Students will not just be given assignments, they will be mentored one-on-one with seasoned communications professionals. They will have the opportunity to interface with inspiring faculty, students, alumni, and other friends of the school to tell stories through their writing and create a portfolio of work to showcase for future employers.

Shifts are customizable, as students are allowed to create a personalized schedule during weekday work hours that is compatible with class schedules.

Daily responsibilities include writing and editing stories for a wide variety of media outlets (news releases, features, newsletters, annual reports, and Marriott Alumni Magazine) as well as advising on content for digital channels (social media and websites).

This is the perfect position for dynamic students looking for hands-on communications experience (can count for PR/journalism internship credit). Prospective candidates should be enthusiastic, organized, and creative self-starters.

Candidates should:

  • Have strong interpersonal and interviewing skills.
  • Have completed PR, journalism, or editing courses (preferred).
  • Be familiar with APA style and/or Chicago style.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects.
