Winning Strategies Washington (WSW) is pleased to offer a Government Relations Internship. WSW interns work closely with the Principals and Partners at WSW on a range of administrative, research, and project-oriented tasks including monitoring and reporting on Congressional hearings, conducting legislative research, working on social media projects, analyzing legislation, and coordinating and attending fundraising events for Members of Congress.
WSW interns are also encouraged to attend events on Capitol Hill, network with public policy professionals across the industry, and often have the chance to interact with elected officials.
Applicants should be motivated self-starters interested in how the private sector works with the federal government. Ideal candidates will be strong writers with at least two years of college-level courses, and will have a basic understanding of the U.S. political process. Office experience, either as an intern or otherwise, is preferred but not required.
