Community Content Specialist Internship (Provo, PAID)

We are a rapidly growing tech startup in the HR space looking for a community content specialist. In this role, your primary focus will be to manage our community of 500+ subject matter experts to create and distribute HR content.

As our community content specialist, you’ll be working with a team of writers, editors, and marketers to create the world’s largest and best encyclopedia of HR. You’ll project manage the process of getting 10+ articles publish-ready every week and then own the way they are shared on social media. Occasionally you will revisit old articles and update them with newly created videos, quotes, stats, etc.

This internship starts the first week of June and will run through December 31st 2022 for around 20 hours/week, with the potential to extend beyond. We have a flexible work environment, but are looking for someone who could make it into our Provo, Utah office on a regular basis. Pay is $16/hour.

  • You can create and manage a content calendar
  • You can grab people’s attention on social media with clever copy (design skills are a plus, but not needed)
  • You know good writing when you see it
  • You enjoy turning messy first drafts into amazing finished products
  • You can effectively communicate and coordinate work with multiple stakeholders to get a project done

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation of the world’s largest HR encyclopedia
  • Partner with our digital marketing specialist to move new articles from the ideation stage all the way through to publishing
  • Distribute encyclopedia content on social media
  • Own the content calendar for our HR Mavericks LinkedIn page to increase followers and encyclopedia views
  • Own the content calendar for our Slack community
  • Assess other potential social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, etc) and repurpose community content to build a presence there
  • Improve encyclopedia content over time
  • Identify articles that need major revisions and work with the community to make them
  • Integrate community-generated content in a variety of formats (video, podcast, quotes, statistics, etc) into related encyclopedia entries
  • Combine and/or link together articles on related topics
  • Build relationships and effectively communicate with our community members
  • Interact with community members across all your projects in a way that uplifts them and makes them excited about being involved
