BYU Studies is a publisher on campus. We plan to hire two students to work for us beginning winter semester 2023. The starting wage is $14 an hour. The schedule has flexible hours, and students may choose to work ten to twenty hours per week. Students should be available Thursdays at 11:00 for a brief meeting. The work involves copyediting, source checking (looking up and verifying citations and footnotes), proofreading, and occasionally writing book notices for our journal.

The journal is BYU Studies Quarterly, and you can see our articles at our website: byustudies.byu.edu.

We are looking for students who have completed ELing 350.

Send us your resume, or drop it off at our office (1066 JFSB), and be prepared to take a one-hour editing test. Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style is helpful. If you would like more information about the job before applying, feel free to ask Roger Terry by email at rkt3@byu.edu.
