As a writer for CPMS (College for Mathematical and Physical Sciences), I improved my writing skills—not just writing in general, but in a journalist style, outside of the English major MLA style, and I was able to exercise some of my creative writing skills.
I also improved my people skills due to interviews I conducted as part of my job for articles I wrote. One of my favorite experiences was when I interviewed a geology professor about the Rome temple, and I was able to understand more about the temple and the “behind the scenes” experience.
